Most of us have already concluded that come January, we are going to start losing those pesky 15 pounds, quit smoking, do more volunteer work, and reduce our debt. While all of these are certainly all worthy causes, you can also take the potential downtime this January to make improvements to both your store […]

A bit of car gossip for petrolheads to bring in the New Year.
KITT is making a comeback in a new 2 hour TV movie to be shown in the US in February 2008 and this time KITT is a Ford Mustand Shelby GT500KR. Picture and teaser video below. I hope we get the show in the UK soon.

I love this story of a Glaswegian millionaire who imported a Dodge Ram from the US so that the council couldn’t tow him away when he parks on double yellow lines. Pure class.

Now I normally don’t like small cars but I must say that I love this new Land Rover LRX Concept. Its a 2 door, and is smaller than their current smallest model the Freelander. However it looks very very cool. Lets hope the production version due in a couple of years remains faithful to the concept.

As ever the brilliant Car Magazine has a review here and a video here.

Well, Jeremy has already beaten me to it but nonetheless I thought it would still be fun to do a recap of 2007. Here we go…
January 2007
According to this widget my blog was worth £23,710.68 almost a year ago. Now its worth $107,827.14. Lol.
Visited Las Vegas for the first time ever to attend the Affiliate Summit conference. Had an absolute blast with the highlight seeing Prince play live at a really intimate gig at the 3121 club.
February 2007
Got all excited as we finally get Heroes.
Affiliate Window lead the way by introducing personalised emails to affiliates with deep links embedded. A week or so later however I have a bit of a rant at the way they “forced” affiliates to read emails. Happily they’ve stopped doing this now.
March 2007
Nick Robertson from ASOS gives that interview with NMA. I respond in kind to his comments about the affiliate community.
I attend the A4U Events cruise to Amsterdam - and hold up about 6 million Geordies wanting to get on the boat as I am last off.
I blog about my Mothers Day Flowers site. To this day I still get emails about this post.
I rave about Joss Stones new album. She emails me to thank me!
Posted this video and people ping me non-stop for the next few days asking where I got it from
April 2007
Have a quiet couple of 2 weeks at the beginning of April but make up for it with an interview.
My Mothers Day Flowers blog post from last month comes back to haunt me.
May 2007
I use the ShopWindow Toolset from Affiliate Window and it rocks.
I’m still waiting for some clever person(s) to spot the potential of my poker site/domain and make me a great offer for it.
The new Affiliates4U site launches, and rocks.
June 2007
Launched a new blog design, thanks to James.
I love this video of John Reese getting presented with a £65k BMW…which he then proceeds to give away
I offer some advice on how to create Google friendly landing pages.
I finally sign up to Facebook.
July 2007
Another widget values my blog at $668,552. sadly the site doesn’t work anymore, shame as I wanted to see if it was worth over $1m yet.
After years of messing about with it I finally decide to do something proper with UKOffer.com.
Battled the floods and attended the Bristol A4U Get2gether.
Wrote about a really cool and easy way to gain backlinks and grow a database of users.
8 things you didn’t know about me.
Jeremy sells AuctionAds. But for how much?
August 2007
A few newbie questions asked by budding affiliate marketeers get answered.
Prince rocks it at the O2 Arena in London. My review is the most popular blog post ever attracting 271 comments to date.
Some guy writes about how the affiliate industry is killing itself. I put him right.
Buy.at launch ContentEngine. Its wicked.
September 2007
I announce who I’m voting for in the first ever A4U awards.
Some tips on how to make your PPC ads stand out from the crowd.
I get a little frustrated about the apparent lack of good UK blogs.
Time for some blogging tips, here and here.
I launch PreviewMyPPC.com to help PPC’ers visualise their ads before they go live.
October 2007
My second blog redesign of the year goes live.
Was supposed to have an operation to remove my thyroid gland but it didn’t happen.
Discover Facebook Flyers is crap.
I launch a competition to win a $799 blog redesign that goes down very well.
Write about how white cars are cool, the article gets Stumbled Upon and I get a huge traffic spike. Still one of my most popular blog posts ever.
Another one of my most popular blog posts ever - Theo Paphitis is robbed of £200k gets loads of links. Peter Jones people ring me up for a chat as a result.
I win the Affiliate Marketing Blog of 2007 award at the first ever A4U Expo. Am well chuffed and have a fantastic time at the event.
November 2007
Merchants with really silly PPC restrictions annoy me.
Buy.at are on a roll this year and release the WidgAt.
We get the iPhone and Carphone Warehouse decide to reduce affiliates commissions on it. I buy mine from O2.
John Lewis, Toys R Us and a certain discount code site get affiliate marketing all wrong.
Fiona and the Equator girls spread some pre-Christmas cheer.
Some more people mistakingly think Facebook ads are good.
December 2007
Hats off to the merchants who have increased their commission levels at Christmas.
I do a couple more interviews.
I sit on a panel at the annual Buy.at Christmas Cracker and have a blast.
Am really overwhelmed at how many Christmas presents I received this year from partners in the industry.
I announce that I am managing my first ever affiliate program on behalf of SecretSales.com.
So there you are, 2007 in a nutshell. Its been a great year and I’ll be writing about my plans for 2008 very soon.

Did the socks your mother-in-law gave you this year just not do it for you? Tired of yet another tie or goofy red and green sweater that will just end up in the back of your closet? The social networking blog Mashable created a list of over 5000 Resources to Do Just About Anything Online. […]

This will be the last Bloggers Digest of 2007, (although it feels like we just got started). There’s no shortage of “Top [Insert Topic Here] Blog Posts of 2007″ in the blogosphere - and even some roundups of the Top Top Lists! So this week I’m posting my favorite 2007-roundups (wearing my ecommerce marketer hat of course!) and a couple other interesting posts to chew on for the weekend.
